A Day To Remember (ADTR) is one of my personal favorites. ADTR is a metalcore/pop-punk band from Ocala, Florida. The band was started in by the guitarist and the drummer. They have released four studio albums the latest being What Separates Me From You. The band is one of my favorites because a lot of their songs are very meaningful to me. For instance my favorite song from them "Have Faith In Me" is about following your dreams and never giving up. The current line up is Jeremy McKinnon - lead vocals, Alex Shelnutt - drums, Kevin Skaff - lead guitar, backing vocals, and keyboard, Neil Westfall - rhythm guitar, and backing vocals, and Joshua Woodard - bass guitar.
What Separates Me From You is an awesome album every song on it beats hard and is very catchy! Their last album "Homesick" while being amazing was much softer in my opinion. Every song on this album hits hard the breakdowns are awesome. This CD really appeals to both of their sub-genres wether your a pop-punk kinda of person there is songs like "Better off This Way" that while still hittting hard are a little softer and catchier. If your the metal head song like the opening "Sticks and Bricks" is full of heavy breakdowns and just lets his anger out. The album shows that ADTR is growing and evolving every album. Every song is good on this album there is nothing on this cd you can say is "just bad." "Maybe A Day To Remember's latest, What Separates Me From You, will be the album when all the haters finally quit hating" (Altpress.com)

We Came As Romans - Understanding What We've Grown To Be
Today's post is about We Came As Romans new album "Understanding What We've Grown To Be." WCAR (We Came As Romans) is a band I have been listening to for a while now. I started listening them around 2006 when I saw them on Pure Volume. They are an awesome Metalcore band from Troy, Michigan. The band was formed in 2005. Their first album "To Plant A Seed" was awesome. It had hard hitting riff's and great screams and vocals. Their first album was released in 2009 and since then they have been on or headlined many tours through different countries. The line up for the band has had many different people. The current line up is Joshua Moore - lead guitar, David Stephens - unclean vocals, Eric Choi - drums, Brian Cotton - rhythm guitar, Andrew Glass - bass guitar, and Kyle Pavone - clean vocals, keyboards, and synthesizer.
WCAR's new album "Understanding What We've Grown To Be" was released September 13, 2011. The theme of the new album is much darker than their other album it "is a lot about dealing with that and coping when things turn out the opposite of how you'd imagined they would." ( Joshua Moore) Although the album was released on the 13th for the 13 days before the album WCAR released one song a day until it was finally released. The new album shows their very heavy side as well as still having some very clean and light cleaner vocals. The whole album is very well produced. The band does what they know and do it well. They are proficient and have an extremely high amount of energy. All in all WCAR is a personal favorite of mine and i am very pleased with the new C.D.
WCAR will also be on the World War III Tour coming to chicago on the 8th of November. The tour will be featuring Hollywood Undead, Asking Alexandria, Borgore, We Came As Romans, and D.R.U.G.S (Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows.)
To hear more from the band here is their Pure Volume Page.

Asking Alexandria - Reckless and Relentless
Asking Alexandria is a band that i am a newer fan of. The band has been around since around 2007 started in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Creator Ben Bruce (lead guitarist) disbanded the original Asking Alexandria and move to England. In England he recreated the band with new members. There were a couple small line up changes but they started touring in 2008 and continued into 2009. In 2009 the recorded and released their debut album "Stand Up and Scream." The band has a very unique sound, although considered Metalcore the band also uses many electronic sounds. AA uses techno/dub-step sounding beats throughout their songs adding a very unique sound. The current line-up consists of Ben Bruce - lead guitar, programming, and backing vocals, James Cassells - Drums, Cameron Liddell - rhythm guitar, Danny Worsnop - lead vocals, keyboards, and programming, and Sam Bettley - Bass guitar.
The new album Reckless and Relentless is a very heavy fast album. Like their first album it uses electro sounds throughout but not as many. There is a lot of development for the band on the C.D. including one track with no screams. They really came out in this C.D. showing that they are a true metalcore band. They proved to me that they are in it for the long haul. The song "Reckless and Relentless" show like the lyrics "I am Rock and Roll."

Falling In Reverse
Today I am going to talk about Falling In Reverse and their debut album "The Drug In Me Is You." Falling In Reverse is a post-hardcore band from Las Vegas, Nevada. The Band is signed by Epitah Records. Falling In Reverse is Ronnie Radke's (singer) new band after being kicked out of Escape The Fate in 2008. Radke was kicked out of ETF because of an altercation leading to incarceration in Las Vegas. When he got out he formed his new band and went through quite a few members. The line up as it stands now is Ronnie Radke- lead vocals, Jacky Vincent- lead guitar, Derek Jones- rhythm guitar and backing vocals, Mika Hiriuchi- bass guitar and backing vocals, and Ryan Seaman- drums, percussion, and backing vocals.
Falling in Reverse's debut album was released July 15th streaming on the website and July 26th in stores. The albums in my opinion is awesome. It is like Radke picked up where he left off with ETF. There is a very similar sound, it is fast and hard. The album takes a shot at his old band. He says a lot of lines telling them off in a very harsh matter especially in the song "Tragic Magic". It is awesome to see Radke taking control and coming back to the scene though. I believe that Falling in Reverse is definitely a band to be watched. Some of the singles on the C.D. are "Raised By Wolves" and "The Drug In Me Is You."

Eyes Set to Kill New Album White Lotus
My post today will be about the new "Eyes Set to Kill" album "White Lotus." This album was released August 9th, 2011. This album is very unique to the band considering it is the first record that they put out on their own record label. Originally they were signed to Breaksilence Records but the band just launched Forsee Records. This is also the C.D. that is the first full length recording featuring new screamer Cisko Miranda. The band is a unique Metalcore band from Tempe, Arizona featuring a Female lead vocalist and lead guitarist- Alexia Rodriguez, Female bassist- Anissa Rodriguez, Drummer- Caleb Clifton, Unclean Vocalist and rhythm guitarist- Cisko Miranda.
The album is ok. Compared to other albums by the band it is a little softer with the screaming, and the music is alot softer including 4 acoustic songs. I went to Vans Warped Tour 2010 and saw the band perform live. They put on such a good show and even though he did not record with them Cisko performed on Warped Tour due to the old screamer leaving. It is awesome to see how well Cisko fits in with the band and how his sound and style are almost a perfect fit. However out of the other 3 albums and their EP I personally feel this is their worst album yet. While ESTK is moving forward and focusing their songs much better I think their more chaotic sound was much better. All in all I am still a huge fan of ESTK and cant wait until they come back to Illinois so I can see them in concert again.
If you would like to take a closer look at ESTK their other albums are "Broken Frames"-2010, "The World Outside"-2009, and "Reach"-2008
This is an actual signed poster I have of Eyes Set to Kill.
