Rise Against - Endgame
Rise Against's new album is a great in my mind. I love a lot of the lyrics from it. Some of the songs on this album have extreme meanings to them and a lot of people can relate. "Don't you remember when you were young - And you wanted to set the world on fire? - Somewhere deep down - I know you do" this to me show a loss of passion which i feel everyone has gone through. However my favorite lyric for the new album is from "Satellite" in which the singer says "You can't feel the heat until you hold your hand over the flame - You have to cross the line just to remember where it lays" which i feel is very true because every one thinks that they know how people feel but unless you are in their shoes you will never know, also every one has taken the step too far just to test boundaries. Now like i said i think the album is great however there is one band thing, I feel that Rise Against is losing their original Punk sound. Although their albums as of late have been awesome they are mor "radio" rock especially when compared to earlier albums such as "Siren Song of the Counter Culture."
The band started in 1999, originally from Chicago! The band consists of Tim McIlrath- Lead vocals, rhythm guitar, Joe Principe - bass guitar, backing vocals, Brandon Barnes - drums, percussion, Zach Blair - lead guitar, backing vocals. The band is going to be on tour which I hope that I can attend they will be with another of my favorite bands A Day To Remember. They will be at the UIC Pavallion on January 27th. Rise Against has 6 full length albums and an ep. My favorite album from them is "Siren Song of the Counter Culture." The band was at one point considered the biggest Punk Band in the world. Although they are still an amazing band i wish they would bring back their "Punk" style.
Rise Against's music video for "September's Children" This song is extremely moving it is all about suicide in the LBGT community. Very anti-bully which Rise Against is known for.
